Once again an AAHA athelte is in the spotlight for the Minnesota HEP Essay!This year Karina Carlsen (14U) is one of the 3 finalists for the state.  She will be featured on the FoxSports North broadcasts for Hockey Day MN on January 19th.  She did an audio taping of her essay and submitted personal and team photos.  The grand prize winner will be drawn on that day. Karina is the daughter of Brian and KrisAnn Carlsen.

It was two years ago that Alexandria's (now Bantam) Zac Nelson WON the HEP essay contest.  His winning allowed him to bring his ENTIRE TEAM to the Excel for a day to watch the wild, have thier own ice time, plus enjoyed the Wild game in thier own private "box" that same evening!  Zach also recorded his essay that was played on Hockey day! Zac is the son of Eric and Kirsten Nelson.
