AAHA hockey family to show support for fellow hockey player

UPDATE:  The AAHA Family raised $2680.00 to donate to the Jablinski family.  Thru patch saes, t-shirts and sweatshirts.

I am sure all of you are following the story of 16 year old  Jack Jablonski and his terrible injury. I don't think there is one person who hasn't been affected by it. As parents and families of a hockey player/players, we realize how quickly things can happen and can change a life forever. It doesn't matter that we don't know this young player personally; he is a hockey player and he is part of the hockey family.

AAHA will be holding a fundraiser and all proceeds will be going to the Jack Jablonski fund. The teams will be wearing patches on thier right crest with the Jack Jablonski logo we have seen all over the news and flashing throughout facebook.  It is not uncommon to log into facebook and still this logo "Jack Jablonski - In Our Hearts" everywhere, whether you are a hockey family or not.

We also had  all the players and coaches sign a card. The AAHA will be putting a care package together of cards, letters, etc on Wednesday to send to the family. If there is something you would like to include as a family or individual (letter, card), please make sure you turn that into me on Monday or Tuesday night.

A big THANK YOU to Stacy Gibson for getting this organized!!

The Bantam B's also sold T-shirts with the Jabs logo at thier tournament last weekend and completely sold out!  The Alexandria Blizzard has a fundraiser planned - donating half of thier admissions at the Jan 19th game to the Jablonski family.

We all hope and pray that a tragedy like this never strike any of our players, or anyone EVER AGAIN for that matter.  But it is a proud fact that hockey families stick together.  No matter what age, level or team.. Being a hockey family also means that we are a part of something "bigger than ourselves", and it shows with the overwhelming support from everyone across the state of Minnesota and beyond, from small associations, to Junior hockey NAHL, USHL, and Pro teams rallying behind this young man with love, letters, t-shirts, donations and more importantly prayers. Wishing you complete and total healing Jabs...we all play with you on our minds and in in our hearts.
